The Buffalo Sabres may have played one of their flattest periods of the season and managed to only trail the Boston Bruins 2-1 after two periods.
Rich Peverley scored a whacky goal after a crazy bounce off of the back wall landed on his stick. Peverley was able to beat Ryan Miller who was caught off guard by the bounce. That was the only goal Miller let in after a busy second period. Miller was forced to make 16 saves in the frame, many of the spectacular kind.
The Sabres were booed off of the ice when the second period concluded and fans hope to see an inspired team in the third period.
