The Buffalo Sabres brought back Jochen Hecht after all, signing the German forward to a one-year, $1 million contract Sunday.
The 35-year-old was limited to 22 games last season due to concussion issues, tallying four goals and four assists. He'd signed with his hometown team in Mannheim earlier this winter.
He has 133 goals and 198 assists in 566 games as a Sabre. He was in town for the team's opening day of training camp Sunday.
