Buffalo Sabres center Cody Hodgson is one of 20 current and former NHL players taking part in a charity ping-pong tournament Thursday in Toronto.
The Smashfest Charity Ping-Pong Challenge is being held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at Steam Whistle Brewing, 255 Bremner Blvd. The event was organized by San Jose Sharks forward Dominic Moore. The proceeds from the event benefit concussion research.
Former Sabre Joe Reekie will also play, as will Steven Stamkos, Eric Lindros and Vincent Lecavalier, among others.
Participants must be at least 19 years old.
